The Maison Vernis storefront, lacquered in cherry-oxblood

A way
of caring

Maison Vernis began with one chair, a shelf of lacquer and a belief that a manicure deserves the patience of a fine finish. We named the house after the varnish itself: vernis, laid in thin coats, each given its time. Seven years and three ateliers later, the rhythm hasn't changed.

Considered
preparations

Every tray is set before the doors open. Every tool is sterilised or single-use. Every shade is swatched on a tip first.

A moment
to unwind

Phones face down, a drink from the bar, the hum of the old port outside. We plan every visit with a few unhurried minutes on either side.
